The Deforestation Detour

The “Deforestation Detour” was created for the WA Forest Alliance as a way to expose the deliberately hidden deforestation mines operating in Australia’s South West. The campaign highlighted the ongoing destruction of native forests and gave visitors an up-close and personal tour of the environmental destruction happening in their own backyard.

The campaign prompted more than 29,000 people to contact the WA State Government to demand action and it worked. Just 4-weeks after the campaign the State Government announced an end to logging in Western Australia’s old-growth forests.
